
Implanted Ventricular Assist Device
Device Solutions was faced with a challenging project that required us to integrate cellular communications into an implanted ventricular assist device. To achieve this, we worked closely with antenna vendors to develop a custom antenna design that would minimize changes to the device's form factor.
We also developed a custom cellular board to integrate with the existing controller, ensuring that the integrated cellular communications met the necessary standards for the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). In addition, we collaborated with the design team to integrate best RF practices into the design of the other boards to ensure optimal performance. This effort was critical to the success of the medical device, as it allowed us to deliver a product that was fully functional and met the needs of our customers.
