Embedded Firmware Engineer
Key skills and characteristics of a good candidate include:

Enjoy working directly with low power hardware in a multi-project environment

Can develop in a variety of languages, processors, operating systems (from bare metal to embedded Linux), and at all levels from device drivers to high-level application code
-
Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task, multi-project, deadline-oriented environment
-
Have strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills
-
Can rapidly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
-
Can identify issues and risks early and take actions to minimize impact
-
Are driven by customer success and retention
Responsibilities include:

Requirements development and tracking
-
Research and report writing
-
Architecture development
-
Firmware development
-
Test plan development and execution
-
Code variants to support hardware bring-up and certification
-
Code reviews
-
Customer and internal documentation
-
Customer meetings
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor of Science in relevant field
-
Demonstrated experience and passion for embedded engineering and product development
-
Familiarity with common embedded operating systems desired, such as FreeRTOS and Zephyr
-

Have experience with Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout design

Have experience with low power and RF design

Enjoy hands on work designing, testing, and debugging new products for many industries
Responsibilities include:

Requirements development and tracking

Research and report writing

Architecture development

Component selection
-
Design and schematic capture of designs based ARM Cortex M microprocessors and typically including multiple low power radios and single cell lithium batteries

Test plan development and execution
-
Board bringup, test, and DVT
-
Customer and internal documentation
-
Customer meetings
